Marist College Bendigo
Montagne Centre and Lavalla Centre (Stage 1 & 4)
The Montagne Centre is the first building at Marist College Bendigo and designed to become a learning community for 1500 students. Marist provides an alternative approach to learning with student skill development as its focus.
The Stage 1 building is located over a wetland that is used as an outdoor classroom where students study, relax, watch birdlife and listen to the frogs that have quickly moved in. 3Acres LA continue to be involved in the development of Marist, with the construction of new buildings and a high-quality joint-use facility with the City of Greater Bendigo.
La Valla forms the last of three villages at Marist College Bendigo. It introduces a junior program to the school, accommodating the school’s youngest students (Foundation to Year 4) in an environment that supports children to grow and thrive.
The village is a ‘living’ environment, designed around a sense of dynamism, adaptability and connection to nature. The building and landscape are designed from a child’s perspective using sensory experience to create a welcoming environment that encourages imagination and curiosity. There is a blurry interface between inside and outside elements.
