Jamieson River Recreation Hub

The Jamieson River Recreation Hub consists of a series of riverbank reserves within the township of Jamieson. The reserve has long attracted holiday makers, anglers, swimmers and kayakers. In recent times, the riverbank has suffered flood damage and escalating bank erosion issues.

3Acres LA were engaged by the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority to propose solutions to stabilise banks, rehabilitate eroded areas and improve accessibility for all users.

In consultation with the GBCMA, Taungurung Land and Waters Council and the local community, we proposed a series of public access points and sensitive stabilisation measures to protect the natural resources of Jamieson River. This will help to protect the banks from further erosion and enable the local community and visitors to enjoy the beauty of the river.
